Films Changing the World: Must-see docs examining critical issues and transforming the way we see the world.
The majestic Monarch butterfly is one of the most
beautiful and mysterious creatures on earth and is at risk
of becoming extinct unless collective action is taken. We
are proud to host a special screening of Four Wings and a
Prayer to raise consciousness about this growing problem.
Four Wings and a Prayer is a journey into the Monarch
butterfly’s secret and fascinating world. We visit the
spectacular locations it calls home, meet its friends and
enemies, and fly with it on one of the most inspiring
migratory odysseys imaginable. Nowhere in nature is there
a more powerful mix of scientific marvel, awesome beauty,
and epic struggle for survival.
Special guests include Citizen Scientist and film subject Don Davis, consultant for the Monarch Butterfly Fund Monica Missrie, author of How to Raise Monarch Butterflies Carol Pasternak, the film's writer Kevin McMahon, and a speaker from the Suzuki’s Homegrown National Park Project.
A portion of event proceeds will
be donated to the David Suzuki
Foundation and their Homegrown
National Park Project.
