Description

Ballet on Screen: Exquisite productions of beloved ballets from The Royal Ballet.

Frederick Ashton created an unmistakably English romantic comedy that evokes his beloved Suffolk in La Fille mal gardée (The Wayward Daughter). Starring Natalia Osipova and Steven McRae, this joyous production is laced with humour, featuring a pastoral whirl of dancing chickens, grouchy guardians and a foolish suitor. In La Fille mal gardée, Lise, the only daughter of Simone who is a widow and owner of a prosperous farm, is in love with Colas, a young farmer, but her mother has far more ambitious plans.

Performed live at the Royal Opera House on May 5, 2015. Includes one intermission.

Tickets: $16 (Members: $12, $10, Free)
