Description

Ballet on Screen: Exquisite productions of beloved ballets from The Royal Ballet.

Christopher Wheeldon’s three-act ballet adaptation of Shakespeare’s tale of love, loss and reconciliation is a triumph for The Royal Ballet. The story follows the destruction of a marriage through consuming jealousy, the abandonment of a child and a seemingly hopeless love. Yet, through remorse and regret, the ending is one of forgiveness and reconciliation.

The Winter’s Tale is a co-production with The National Ballet of Canada and was performed live on April 28, 2014, at the Royal Opera House. Includes one 10-minute intermission.

Tickets: $16 (Members: $12, $10, Free)

Co-presented by The National Ballet of Canada.
