Description

Doc Soup: Hot Docs' monthly screening series that presents Festival hits and award-winning docs.

This real-life conspiracy thriller follows eccentric artist Fedor Alexandrovich, who was just four years old when he was exposed to the toxic effects of the Chernobyl disaster. Now 33, with radioactive strontium in his bones, Fedor seeks to learn more about what happened at the nuclear plant. He becomes fascinated with the Duga—a giant, mysterious Cold War weapon two miles from the disaster site. Fedor’s search for answers leads him to believe the Duga had a terrifying secret purpose and must decide whether to risk his life by revealing his discovery amidst the Ukraine's emerging revolution.

Director Chad Gracia will be in attendance to introduce to the film and participate in Q&As.
