Description

This Film Should Be Played Loud: See new, classic and rare concert films on the big screen.

This month, we celebrate the cherished and uniquely Canadian folklorist Gord Downie with this special rendition of 2012 concert doc Bobcaygeon, in conjunction with their tour and live CBC Broadcast of The Tragically Hip: A National Celebration. Complete with a DJ spinning classic Canadiana and Ontario beer specials, the evening will be sure to fill the heart of any Canadian who enjoys a bit of nostalgia. The feature presentation is the classic Bobcaygeon, in which the band headlines a massive outdoor concert in the small Ontario community (immortalized in their 1998 Juno-winning hit of the same name) that included such artists as Sam Roberts and The Trews. The concert drew over 25,000 rabid Hip fans and is a gift from the band that will remain weaved in our nation’s fabric for the ages.

Arrive early as DJ Moe Berg (lead singer for the Toronto's very own The Pursuit of Happiness and new Canadian supergroup The Trans-Canada Highwaymen) spins a set of classic Canadiana.
