Description

Bob Dylan on Screen: A cinematic tribute to the iconic troubadour, in conjunction with our Curious Minds course on Bob Dylan running May 19–June 23.

A must-see for Bob Dylan aficionados, Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid features a soundtrack composed by Dylan (including the international mega-hit 'Knockin on Heaven's Door') and his film acting debut in the role of Alias—a nearly wordless performance that affirms his image as one of our most riveting and elusive icons. Directed by the legendary Sam Peckinpah, the film tells the story of the aging lawman Pat Garrett (James Coburn) hired by a group of cattle barons to bring down his friend Billy the Kid (Kristofferson) in this quintessential work of 70s American cinema.

Co-presented by Sonic Boom.
