This harrowing and seminal courtroom documentary presents the trials of three teenagers (dubbed the West Memphis Three) in a small Arkansas town. Upon the discovery of three eight-year-old boys’ terribly mutilated bodies, the town desperately and hastily seized upon the three heavy metal fans as culprits. Berlinger and Sinofsky were able to document the entire trial process with unparalleled access. Were the boys satanic killers, or was this a witch hunt gone out of control?
