Description

Going to school and accessing a quality education isn't easy or isn't even an option for some students. Step documents the senior year of a girl's high-school step dance team against the background of inner-city Baltimore. As each one tries to become the first in their families to attend college, the girls strive to make their dancing a success amidst social unrest in their troubled city.

A post-screening discussion and a live pitch by Toronto teachers to support their classroom projects will follow.
