Description

David Chase's brilliant HBO series The Sopranos is the creative and spiritual heir to the Godfather films— a generation-spanning, zeitgeist-defining Mafia drama that is in constant dialogue with Coppola's gangster saga, while forging its own vivid universe. And what better way to celebrate this rich pop-cultural kinship than with the exclusive Toronto premiere of two films from The Sopranos Sessions, a new documentary series celebrating the legacy and impact of Chase's series on its 20th anniversary.

In the first, “The Last Supper,” join Vincent Pastore ("Big Pussy" Bonpensiero), Federico Castelluccio (Furio Giunta), Vincent Curatola (Johny Sack) and Arthur J. Nascarella (Carlo Gervasi) for an intimate dinner at Il Cortile, the restaurant cast members would go to for a commiseration dinner when their characters were killed off the show. Top it off with a Tony Soprano-worthy dessert: "David Chase", a rare, intimate interview with the show's creator and creative Don, who offers unique insights into a story that, like The Godfather before it, has redefined and reimagined American life for generations of audiences.
