There’s a reason they call them con-artists—in Six Degrees of Separation, a couple of Art Dealers are bamboozled beyond repair. A young man, played by an early-career Will Smith, convinces hoity-toity New Yorkers Ouisa (Stockard Channing) and Flan (Donald Sutherland) that he has been stabbed in Central Park—oh, and it just so happens that he is Sidney Poitier’s son. Delight in this 1993 classic, made even more delicious by the fact that it’s based on a true story.
