5:30 PM - 6:30 PM: Doors Open

Screening of the movie Blind Ambition, a story of how four Zimbabwean refugees escape political and economic chaos and become world class sommeliers. **Wine will be served from a wine sponsor.

After the screening, Beverley Crandon, a CMS-certified sommelier, wine lover and founder of Spice Food & Wine Group, will share her expertise as it relates to the movie and the industry.

The event is a fundraiser for the Grandmothers Campaign of the Stephen Lewis Foundation. The campaign was formed in response to an emerging crisis faced by grandmothers in Africa when their families were devastated by the AIDS crisis. Connecting with grandmothers in Canada, they raise funds in their communities to support the life-enhancing programs run by grandmothers in Africa and the community based organizations that support them.

Hosted by four Toronto area grandmothers groups. Brookbanks for African Grannies, Grandmothers Partnering with Africa, Old Orchard Blossoms and Toronto Grandmothers Embrace.
