Description
Award-winning director Virginia Heath compiles a rich and haunting love letter to Scotland in this innovative reconstruction of footage from Scottish archives. Featuring both the majestic landscapes of Scotland's countryside and the bustling city scenes of its urban centres, the film is paired with a transcendent score by Scottish musician and composer King Creosote.
From Scotland With Love
is a journey through time that explores universal themes of love, loss, resistance, migration, work and play. Ordinary people, some long since passed away, their names and identities largely forgotten, appear shimmering from the depth of the vaults to take on a starring role. Brilliantly edited together, these silent individuals become composite characters who emerge to tell us their stories against the mesmerizing backdrop of King Creosote's poetic music and lyrics.
