Made up of eight vignettes each told in 10 minutes of real time, shot in a single take, WARU follows the lives of eight Maori women all connected by a single heart-breaking event - the loss of a young child. Each vignette follows one of the eight lead characters during the same moment in time as they each experience feelings of love, sadness, togetherness, confusion and understanding. Preceded by short, Holy Angels (Director: Jay Cardinal Villeneuve (Cree/Métis)).
