Description

[more info]

The launch of Saturday Night Live gave rise to a fresh crop of talented comedians, but one person in particular managed to uniquely charm and captivate the audiences who tuned in every week. Her comedic range gave life to the sweetly naïve Emily Litella and the boldly brash Roseanne Roseannadanna. The genius that was Gilda Radner ranks high in the comedy world, and she became a pioneering force for women to connect to. Using newly uncovered audio diaries, we get to hear her story told in her own voice, as well as through comedians Amy Poehler, Melissa McCarthy, Maya Rudolph and many others she inspired. Her beauty was in her passion and it's on display throughout this moving tribute. Gilda faced hilarious highs and tragic lows in an incredible life that echoed one of her most famous lines: It's always something. Gabor Pertic
