In July 2012, two fearless activists—both undocumented youth living in the US—boldly approach the guards of one of the most notorious and dangerous detention centres in the US. Their intention is to be detained for lack of papers. Promptly arrested, they begin their undercover work alongside the National Immigration Youth Alliance to expose the atrocities of the system and to work for the release of detainees at the Broward Transitional Center. Defying traditional documentary format, this powerful film uses a combination of real footage and dramatized reconstructions to give an unflinching look at privately operated immigration detention facilities. It's an extraordinary story of the selfless bravery of youth activists who risked it all in the name of justice and human rights. Heather Haynes
