In this intimate, newly-released portrait tracing her life and career, Tan opens up with remarkable frankness about her painful past, and how writing has helped her heal. Featuring interviews with fellow writers Kevin Kwan, Isabel Allende and Dave Barry, the film offers an inside look at a brave artist whose humanity infuses all of her work.
