Artscapes: Creative minds, artistic pursuits and inventive filmmaking

After approaching Joyce Carol Oates 16 years ago to document the story of her life, director Stig Björkman finally presents the story of an iconic American master. Oates speaks on her decorated history as the author of over 100 books under multiple pen names. She shares her youthful stories from university as she observed American life develop in front of her. She watched historical moments live, witnessed policy change in Congress and wrote tales about society from many perspectives. Critical and reflective, she is in a league of authors beloved by many and is still alive to receive her flowers. Samah Ali
