Hot Docs Podcast Festival: More with Anna Maria Tremonti

Hot Docs Ted Rogers Cinema Sun, Nov 10, 2019 12:30 PM

Witness a master conversationalist at work in this exclusive first look at one of the most anticipated new podcasts of 2020. After 17 seasons at the helm of The Current, CBC Radio's flagship morning current affairs show and Canada's most listened-to program, Anna Maria Tremonti now brings her years of insightful questioning and reporting to this interview series featuring deep— and unexpected— conversations with high-profile guests and rising stars from a variety of disciplines. At this exclusive world premiere, join Anna Maria as she sits down with award-winning, multi-disciplinary artist Vivek Shraya, author of the critically acclaimed books “I’m Afraid of Men” and “Death Threat,” to talk about facing down fear and hate.

This event will include live captioning (CART) service for people who are deaf, hard of hearing, or English is a second language.

Special Guest:

Vivek Shraya
An artist whose body of work crosses the boundaries of music, literature, visual art, theatre, and film. Her best-selling book "I’m Afraid of Men" was heralded by Vanity Fair as “cultural rocket fuel,” and her album with Queer Songbook Orchestra, "Part-Time Woman", was nominated for the Polaris Music Prize.
