Hot Docs Podcast Festival: Uncover with Missing & Murdered

Showings

Hot Docs Ted Rogers Cinema Sun, Nov 10, 2019 4:00 PM

Description

See Canada’s greatest investigative journalists in action at this unique live storytelling collaboration between two true crime mega-hits from CBC Podcasts. Led by The National's Ian Hanomansing, who hosted Uncover's acclaimed second season, this event features never before told stories from podcast hosts Connie Walker, Michelle Shephard, Justin Ling, and Josh Bloch.

From a corporate-driven sex cult masquerading as a support group to an Indigenous girl lost to the abyss of the foster care system to the forgotten murder victims in Toronto’s Gay Village, this will be a gripping exploration of the people and stories that slip through society’s cracks — and a tribute to the role that journalists play in telling their stories. Plus, journalist Daemon Fairless takes you behind the scenes of Hunting Warhead, CBC Podcasts’ first international co-production.
