A weekend of animated films that will blow your mind! Animation is returning to the Hot Docs Ted Rogers Cinema to cure your frozen February blues. This year we have some new things in store including the Canadian premieres of Away, Another Day Of Life and the award winning kids series The Bravest Knight.
Told in four chapters, a young boy travels across a mysterious land, crossing barren deserts and beautiful forests, all the while being pursued by a relentless dark spirit. Along the way he makes a series of connections with different animals and reflects on the possible ways he ended up on the island. Part dream, part reality, the main idea of Away is our common, universal need to find a connection. Filled with stunning visuals, Zilbalodis' images speak for themselves in this dialogue-free film.
Away will be preceded by the TAAFI Film Festival's Opening Ceremonies, included in the ticket.
