Description

This short film is part of World Showcase Shorts Program 6.

Attended by thousands in Seoul in December 2018, “The Courage to be Uncomfortable” was a demonstration against misogyny, surveillance and widespread sexism within the justice system. In the lead up to the protest, the filmmaker journeys through rural and urban areas, capturing women’s voices in this poetic, experimental film. Mariam Zaidi
