Description

This short film is part of the Persister Shorts Program.

Three women run a fish farm in the Algerian desert in this remarkable fish-out-of-water refugee story. Aquaculture magicians, the trio work a series of miracles and mirages to adapt to scorching temperatures, sandstorms and power outages. Far from the Nile, there are still tilapia, and far from Western Sahara, there are still Sahrawi. Angie Driscoll
