In 2011, Neil Young drove a 1956 Crown Victoria from his idyllic hometown of Omemee, Ontario to Toronto's iconic Massey Hall where he intimately performed the last two nights of his solo world tour. Join the rocker along the drive as he recounts insightful stories from his youth, interspersed with mesmerizing new music, previously unreleased songs, and soul-stirring renditions of classics like "Hey Hey, My My" and "I Believe in You." Following his earlier concert films dedicated to the legendary artist—including the classic Heart of Gold—longtime friend Jonathan Demme captures Young at his most personal, offering an insightful look into the heart and soul of a true Canadian icon.

Featuring an introduction by music historian Dr. Mike Daley, instructor of our summer Curious Minds course, Neil Young: Words and Music (available to watch July 30).

The film will be available for 48 hours from when you start the stream. Please note streaming is only possible from inside Canada. Need assistance? Visit our FAQ page or email us at streamingsupport@hotdocs.ca.
