Description

Frank Gehry changed the course of architecture with glowing buildings that capture movement, energy, light, and above everything—joy. Focusing on key creations in the 1990s and beyond, including the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, Spain, this newly-unearthed portrait explores how the worlds of art, sculpture and painting influenced the American architect’s sweeping signature style. Find out how, with the help of computer programs, he created a new design language that defied conventions, holding on to the goal that architecture should never be too precious, it should always inspire emotion.

Open captions are available on this screening.
