To see the world through the eyes of the iconic New York pop surrealist Kenny Scharf is to travel to a technicolour galaxy where fun reigns supreme. Rising to prominence during the mythic downtown art scene of the 1980s, alongside contemporaries Jean-Michel Basquiat and Keith Haring, Scharf went on to have a prolific career, while battling with his own inner struggles and the cataclysmic shifts of the era. Co-directed by Scharf’s daughter, When Worlds Collide reveals the remarkable impact of Sharf’s vision and the importance of living life out loud, despite setbacks.
Includes an exclusive post-film Q&A with artist Kenny Scharf, and directors Malia Scharf and Max Basch.
