Description

In 2001, 28-year-old Dr. Andrew Bagby was found dead in a park in Pennsylvania. He had been shot by his ex-girlfriend, who then fled to Canada, where she was able to walk free on bail, pregnant with Andrew's child—Zachary. Filmmaker Kurt Kuenne, Andrew’s oldest friend, began making a film for little Zachary as a way for him to get to know the father he’d never meet. Little did he know that he’d end up documenting one of the most simultaneously heartfelt and heart-shattering cases of justice gone awry. A true-crime masterpiece celebrated for placing the victim first, Dear Zachary is an emotional rollercoaster from start to finish.

The film will be available for 48 hours from when you start the stream. Please note streaming is only possible from inside Canada. Need assistance? Visit our FAQ page or email us at streamingsupport@hotdocs.ca.
