How many of us truly know the people we love? Director Dorota Proba peels back the layers of three romantic relationships using a box of cards to spark discussion. A seemingly simple concept—cards asking questions at random about life and love—quickly unravels tender and intimate truths for the Polish couples who bring a diversity of life experiences to the table. A relationship born out of an affair; a secret harboured between a new set of parents; and a young couple at a crossroads are the jumping-off points for larger conversations about love. Proba navigates confessions and revelations with great sensitivity and an adept sense of timing and rhythm.
