In November 2016, French Astronaut Thomas Pesquet set off on his first mission in space. For six months, 450 kilometres from Earth where the world seems to fade into the unknown, a poetic dialogue is established between the astronaut and Antoine de Saint-Exupéry's children’s classic The Little Prince, which be brought with him on board. Pesquet’s philosophical reflections and intimate experiences on the space station unfold in a dream-like state against the backdrop of a constantly-evolving planet. How do you experience time when you get to witness 16 sunrises a day? With an intoxicating original jazz score by French saxophonist Guillaume Perret, 16 Sunrises will have you living the high life and leave you pondering the deep human feelings that arise when you're far away from home.

In French with English subtitles.
