Excited to discover new stories and explore the wonders of the natural world?

Join the team from The Narwhal, Canada's groundbreaking outlet for environmental reporting, for a night of inspiring conversation and immersive multimedia presented live on the Hot Docs stage. Led by hosts Denise Balkissoon, Fatima Syed and Emma McIntosh, the intrepid journalists of The Narwhal's Ontario bureau, we'll explore the environmental stories the traditional media doesn't cover and visit the beautiful, far-flung landscapes in which they're playing out — as seen through jaw-dropping photographs, projected on our big screen.

The evening will culminate with a live onstage interview with award-winning photojournalist Amber Bracken, who was arrested by the RCMP along with more than a dozen land defenders while documenting a police raid on Wet'suwet'en territory last fall.

This will be a night of both entertainment and inspiration, arming you with the tools you need to get informed and engaged.

Bring your friends, sip on specially themed cocktails and celebrate the wonders of the natural world — and our country’s most fearless journalists!
