Bring the family to this fun and interactive event, featuring a screening of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. We’ll be joined by ROM’s team, who will be presenting real touchable specimens from the Museum’s collections before the screening begins, inspired by the exhibition Fantastic Beasts™: The Wonder of Nature.
The first film in the Fantastic Beasts series, a spin-off prequel to the Harry Potter franchise, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them opens in 1926 as Newt Scamander has just completed a global excursion to find and document an extraordinary array of magical creatures. Arriving in New York for a brief stopover, he might have come and gone without incident…were it not for a No-Maj (American for Muggle) named Jacob, a misplaced magical case, and the escape of some of Newt’s fantastic beasts. This Academy Award–winning fantasy story is, as The Guardian put it, a "terrifically good-natured, unpretentious and irresistibly buoyant film,” sure to enchant both young audiences and the young-at-heart.
