Catch Arshad Khan's award-winning autobiographical documentary film ABU (father) followed by Q&A with Arshad moderated by actor Ali Kazmi, as well as a silent art auction, at Hot Docs Cinema. This event is a fundraiser benefiting Pakistan flood relief efforts, organized by Arshad Khan.
Using VHS videos and family archives, Hollywood and Bollywood clips, as well as animation, in ABU Khan has created a tapestry about migration, sexuality, spirituality and mortality. This father-son relationship story will move you and help you understand the history of Pakistan through the eyes of the filmmaker and his adventurous family.

Tickets: $25, $50, $100
The $100 ticket includes the opportunity to enter a raffle for a piece of original art by Pakistani artist Asma Mahmood and a photo opportunity with director Arshad Khan.
The $50 ticket includes the opportunity to win an original piece of art by a local Toronto artist (TBD).
All proceeds from the event will go to The Citizens’ Foundation to help with the Pakistan flood relief efforts. The Citizens’ Foundation is a professionally managed, non-profit organization set up in 1995 by a group of citizens who wanted to bring about positive social change through education. 27 years later, TCF is now one of Pakistan’s leading organizations in the field of education for the less privileged.
