Description

In February 1994, a mere 21 films were featured at the very first Hot Docs International Film Festival. Thousands of documentaries later, Hot Docs has grown into the largest documentary film festival in North America! Celebrate the 30th anniversary of Hot Docs with a screening of Manufacturing Consent, one of the films at our first festival. Funny, provocative and surprisingly accessible, Manufacturing Consent explores the political life and ideas of Noam Chomsky, world-renowned linguist, intellectual and political activist. In a dynamic collage of biography, archival gems, imaginative graphics and outrageous illustrations, the film highlights Chomsky’s probing analysis of mass media.
