Description

Celebrate Asian Heritage Month with a film by one of the greatest filmmakers of our time, Hayao Miyazaki. The first Asian director to win the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature with Spirited Away, Miyazaki dazzled audiences last year—coming out of retirement to make the Oscar-winning film, The Boy and the Heron.

Revisit Miyazaki’s eighth feature film, a modern seaside fairytale following Ponyo, a young goldfish who swims away from home and wishes to be human when she bonds with a little boy named Sosuke.

Featuring a symphony of colour and whimsical character design, Ponyo is a masterclass in the art of hand-drawn animation and should not be missed on the big screen.

The English dubbed version of the film will be presented.
