The most important early September film event of Toronto has arrived!

This New Toronto Bizarre double-feature showcase featuring the latest and greatest of the DIY film movement with Tristan Wheeler's Toronto Apartment and Braden Sitter Sr.'s The Pee Pee Poo Poo Man, along with a selection of short films.

Toronto Apartment (2026), written, directed, produced and starring Tristan Wheeler, is about a Toronto man who, after being dumped, subleases his apartment for an hour or two at a time as a 'community space.' This new DIY film was made for $10,000 and is shaped by and about the present moment and has garnered rave reviews from its screenings at The Mammoth Lakes Film Festival and Bleeding Edge.

"Comedy gold" - The Hollywood Reporter

"An ambitious flurry of surreal humour" - CBC Arts

"A self-effacing satire" - Exclaim!

The Pee Pee Poo Poo Man (2024) is a thriller-comedy about a paranoid young man who goes on a bizarre crime spree. This film, written, directed and edited by Braden Sitter Sr., has played around the world, with sold-out screenings across Canada, the US and Europe. This cult hit is making its triumphant return to Toronto cinemas for (maybe) one last time.

"A new cult classic" - Toronto Star

"Delightfully unlike anything you've seen before" - Chicago Reader
