Description

When audience favourite David & Me premiered at Hot Docs in 2014, its subject David McAllum was in prison serving over 30 years for a crime he didn’t commit. His fate changed when he struck up a friendship with Toronto-born filmmaker Ray Klonsky. Fighting for David’s freedom with a dedicated team of lawyers and activists proved successful and McAllum was released from prison, presenting the film—with a newly shot happier ending—at our cinema in 2015. We’re honoured to have David join us in person to tell us his remarkable story as it continues to unfold.

David McCallum will join us for a live post-screening Q&A
