Description

Havarie traces a complex network of political, geographic and affective relations orbiting around a visible centre: a three-minute YouTube video of a tiny boat jammed full of refugees attempting passage to Europe. Presented by the Goethe-Institut Toronto in partnership with the Hot Docs Festival, Images Festival and Scotiabank CONTACT Photography Festival.

Hours
Tuesdays: 1:00 - 6:00 PM
Wednesdays & Thursdays: 3:00 - 7:30 PM
Saturdays: 9:30 AM - 1:30 PM

On May 3, Christoph Terhechte, director of the Berlinale Forum and on this year’s Hot Docs jury, will introduce and contextualize Havarie, currently installed at the Goethe Media Space. Christoph hosted the film’s world premiere in Berlin in 2016. More info >
