For over three decades the beloved series Mister Rogers' Neighborhood introduced generations of children to Fred Rogers, a gentle and warm man who addressed his young audience directly with respect and compassion. Dealing with social issues and challenges, Rogers’ unique approach was to be soft-spoken but honest. With clips from the landmark show and interviews with people who worked with and were influenced by Rogers, Oscar-winning director Morgan Neville has crafted a film that's both tribute and caution. We're reminded not only of the brilliance and beauty of Mr. Rogers's legacy, but of the dangers in closing ourselves off from his message of acceptance and love.
