Grammy Award–winning composer, piano virtuoso, and performer Jason Beck, aka Chilly Gonzales, criss-crosses through the worlds of classical music, rap, electro, and pop, collaborating with the likes of Drake, Daft Punk, and Feist and constantly breaking expectations. Interweaving newly shot interviews and concert scenes with fictional materials of totally different time periods, Shut Up and Play the Piano explores the artist’s life from his childhood in Montreal to the late-90s underground Berlin, and via Paris to the world’s great philharmonic halls.
