Like Sid and Nancy, Viki and Damjan are anarchists in love who create romance out of ruin. Homeless urban explorers, hooked on heroin and each other, they squat in abandoned buildings and find happiness in simple things: a fix, running water, a warm bed and someone to share it with. While Viki pursues her passion for photography and history (as long as it's not her own), Damjan, fresh out of jail, plots to stop using, find a job and start over. This stream of unconsciousness mixes coarse edits, music video, photo montage and cut-to-black elements to evoke the junkie brain's blackouts. How Much Do You Love Yourself? is a vital addition to the addiction canon that shows a couple unhappy with and without, who miss the emptiness and silence of the squat once they find a permanent spot, and forever crave the void.
