This live event, screening and talk challenges us to make Canadian history and law relevant to young audiences. The evening is emceed by Canada's original YouTube star and comedian Jus Reign. Jus will introduce the premiere showing of the new web documentary Supreme Law, in which he stars. He'll be joined on stage by Indigenous legal scholars, constitutional scholars and internet influencers to discuss how in Supreme Law, history and law are indigenized and made relevant to the culture of the internet through comedy, drama and healthy provocation. This talk will be moderated by CBC's Duncan McCue. The resulting co-created work of Supreme Law features the backstabbing, betrayals and real Game of Thrones intrigue that led to the patriation of the Canadian constitution in 1982—and the evolving and complex Canada we know today.
