The cheerleaders of the National Football League put themselves through strict regimens, measuring waistlines and muscle definition, rehearsing their acts to perfection and often paying out of pocket for all their outfits and paraphernalia. Their dedication, hard work and team loyalty generate an astounding profit for the multi-billion-dollar corporation that shamelessly pays them less than minimum wage. Determined to seek justice for years of astounding inequity and exploitation, a group of women file lawsuits against the NFL, alleging gendered wage theft and egregious employment practices. Risking their careers and reputations, and ostracizing themselves from a tight-knit community of current and former cheerleaders, the women uncover a culture that has complete disrespect and disregard for the real worth of a woman's work.
