Description

Watch in wonder as tightrope walker Philippe Petit daringly performs an illegal high-wire routine between New York City's twin towers in 1974. After nearly an hour dancing on the wire, he was arrested, taken for psychological evaluation, and brought to jail before he was finally released. A precursor to the recent blockbuster Free Solo, James Marsh’s Oscar-winning documentary brings Petit’s daredevil feat to thrilling life through the testimony of the man himself and some of the co-conspirators who helped him create the breathtaking spectacle that became known as “the artistic crime of the century.”
