Over the course of four years, director Phil Grabsky (the beloved Exhibition on Screen series) followed world-renowned concert pianist Leif Ove Andsnes’s attempt to understand and interpret one of the greatest sets of works for piano ever written: Beethoven’s five piano concertos. Against the wonderful background of Andsnes playing, we also peel back the many myths of Beethoven’s life, from piano playing wunderkind in Vienna to greatest composer alive by the time he wrote the fifth concerto. As the world prepares to celebrate the master composer's 250th birthday in 2020, this fresh biography offers rare and revealing insight into the imagination of one of the greatest musical geniuses of all time.

Mervon Mehta, Executive Director of Performing Arts at The Royal Conservatory, will host a special Q&A with James Anagnoson, pianist and Dean of The Glenn Gould School, featuring a special performance by a student from The Glenn Gould School.
