Hot Docs is delighted to unveil the Surprise Screening set to captivate Toronto audiences at its highly anticipated 2024 Festival.

Industry Passholder tickets are available online starting at 9:00 pm the night prior to the screening date, and up until one hour before the screening time. Passholders can also obtain tickets in person at the screening venue's box office on the day of the screening upon presentation of their pass. Venue box offices open one hour prior to the venue's first screening of the day.

The Bones is the epic story of the international dinosaur bone trade. Following the journey of fossils from their discovery in remote corners of the earth to laboratories, museums, auction houses and collectors’ living rooms, the film weaves together interlocking stories of people caught between the demands of commerce and the basic human drive to unlock the most profound mysteries of life. It takes us deep into the Gobi, Sahara, and North American badlands, and through laboratories, museums, high-end auction houses, and grungy hotel rooms at the Tucson gem show. Wrapped in elusive questions about the origins of life on earth, and its potential future demise, The Bones unearths the deep passions at the heart of the dinosaur world.
